We continue the story after the meeting with the painful pine tree in Auvergne that I have mentioned in the previous post. All the phenomena will be explained scientifically in the next posts. Today I am just a story teller.
May 20th 2023, arrived home after the trip, I dropped myself on the sofa. But my intuition did not let me in the tranquility that long. Five minutes later, I told my husband that we need to go back to Auvergne the week after because my little voice said that « something is waiting for me there”. As it would be Pentecost weekend, all were booked. However would find the last flat on Airbnb which locates in La Bouboule, in front of Fenestre Park. During three days, I was spending my time writing and talking with trees, listening to their stories. A group of cedar with different wishes for future reincarnation: some love to become birds, others hope to be human… One even showed me the image of his past life as a wizard. He was quite sad because he didn’t know until when he can be reincarnated. Staying in the park, he can only observe people passing by but no one cares about his story. There is no communication between humans and trees.

There was also a little bit funny but serious story of an unhappy “Monkey Puzzle” tree of which name is always a topic for people’s jokes. He was not pleased when humans make jokes about monkeys because he himself was a monkey in a past life. Moreover, he would love to re-reincarnate as monkey in future life.

However, the key event hasn’t appeared yet. Around 5pm, I left the park around disappointedly. If my intuition is wrong, I would be very surprised.
Anyway we needed to prepare our luggage for leaving the day after. At the same time, it started raining heavily. We finished dinner around 7:30 pm…. Suddenly I told my husband and the kids to take a walk in the park after the rain.
Two hundreds meters after the entrance, from far away, we saw a group of Tibet’s monks walking toward us. A bolt of electricity stung my head made me understand what to do… We approached them to say hello. Actually, they are doing their Europe’s tour to collect money for medical reason of their monastery. Then I invited them to come to my place. The stay, conference board room are complimentary so that they could show their culture of mandala and receive the donation.

I need to clarify here that I follow only the laws of Nature that Bouddha discovered. This detail also related to one of my previous life. I would like to help them because they are human. There is no religious reason here.
The charity event was organized smoothly during the week 13 – 15 October with a beautiful mandala amazed people. The lesson of impermanence behind a splendid mandala and its dissolution is very interesting.
Life is relative and ephemeral, nothing is absolute so even the most beautiful things are returned to Nature to continue the cycle of formation, stabilization, destruction, extermination. No element can escape from this reality. All sufferings of humans are from attachment to absolute which is simply an illusion. For this reason, in my point of view, death is also a start, not an end. Everything depends our vision and consciousness.

Besides this lesson, I realized that Universe has taught me something else that is very valuable for my research.
During these stays, through some discussions with the monks, what amazed me was that most of them needed to spend more than 20 years for their “Dharma” studies. Dharma, in sanskrit, means “right way of living” and “path of rightness”. Dharma also has connotations of order, and when combined with the word sanatana, it can also be described as eternal truth.
With my innate curiosity, I would like to clarify some questions in my mind…Here are my two discussion with the monks at the end of the days.
14th October, while talking with another Vietnamese girl and I about Buddha’s teaching, the monk A mentioned the word “Buddhist”, thinking that I am a very devout person and obviously buddhist.
– “I am not Buddhist” I told him.
– Surprisingly he said: “You organize buddhism event. You believe in Buddha’s teachings. But you say that you are not buddhist?!”
– I help your monastery where there are two thousands people need to eat, drink and be hospitalized. I organize this event for humanity reason, not because you’re monks. Besides, I found that the meaning of impermanent in your mandala’s culture is magnificent to show the world. I do not support any religion. I only help humanity in my capacity. I believe in Buddha’s teachings because this is the universal reality . But I am definitely not buddhist and never become buddhist. My religion is Universe.
– Strange! For me, you are buddhist.
– Tell me, please! Who created religion in general? Religion exists before human’s existence?! Did Buddha, by sharing what he discovered, wanted to create buddhism? Remember that he didn’t want to be anyone except for being a normal man. Each religion explains the law of Nature differently. Therefore, in order to eliminate all conflicts, I prefer to talk about the common point: Natural law. Don’t you see that when people start to talk about individual things means ego, the world becomes separate?!
He didn’t answer me so the discussion was leaving unfinished…
The next day, last evening before their departure, a conversation with the monk A, another monk B and me H came naturally. As the monks continued to use the “ist” and “ism”, then I continued my “interrogation”:
– B: Buddhism is not a religion.
– H: Good! If you said that Buddhism is not a religion, why you used the word “ism”? I don’t want to make a list of all the “ism” in our society here. But I hope you understand what I mean. In Tibet, these words “Buddhism” and “Buddhist” exist?
– B: No, no. This is the translation of English or French. We don’t have Buddhism, Buddhist in Tibetan language. There are only Triratna, the “Three Jewels” of Buddha (the teacher), dharma (the teaching), and sangha (the community).
– A: Yesterday she said that she is not buddhist.
– B: Really???
– H: Certainly I am not Buddhist because I only believe in cosmic reality – the Law of Nature which was discovered by Buddha. Therefore, I hope that when spreading your culture all over the world, please do not continue to use the word Buddhism and Buddhist which categorized the teachings of Buddha as a religion. I strongly convinced that it was not Buddha’s intention. All what he wants is to enlighten and liberate people from sufferings. He neither taught religion nor philosophy. He shared the reality: The law of Nature. Actually, at first, the word “religion” is simply a belief. Today due to ego and illusion, it becomes a division instead of unified. I respect all people beliefs and I hope that all religions can realize the common point as Natural laws. Because the principles of Nature apply for everyone, regardless of religion. If you continue to use these suffix, then you limit human to discover the truth of Universe. Please do not make people confuse anymore.
– A and B: (Talking to each other in Tibetan) So, it will be you to explain it to the world.
– H : Of course, I am preparing for it.
That’s the way I see the world. I protect the reality which should not be modify according to people’s will. In this life, I am no longer interested in philosophy, religion or politic. My science is for life and from life’s experiences. Not the science in laboratory. Moreover, the only thing I care about is the harmony and peace on this planet. I still remember in 1992, my favorite literature teacher sent my essay analyzing a world’s peace poem to a children’s newspaper. This was a picture of all the children regardless of religion, nationality, holding hands, singing in a no – border – world. This image remains unchanged in my mind since the very first perceptions of cosmology.
To be continued…
